The Standard Assessment Procedure
Standard Assessment Procedure is more commonly referred to as the 'SAP Rating' - This is the officially recognized, by Building Control bodies, as the government system for assessing the Energy Performance of houses.
What is a PEA?
Where an energy assessment is required for a building prior to completion, a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) will be produced.
What we need from you?
In order to produce a SAP and the initial Predicted Energy Rating (PEA) we will need a full set of plans including: Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations and Sectional Drawings. Preferably at scales of: 1:100, 1:75 or 1:50 as well as your intended specification for the building.
The Code for Sustainable Homes
Is an environmental assessment method for rating and certifying the performance of new homes. It is a national standard for use in the design and construction of new homes with a view to encouraging continuous improvement in sustainable home building.
A Code assessment can only be carried out by a licensed and accredited Code assessor. We can advise you on how to achieve a Code Level so that you then attain an interim Certificate of compliance and then become fully compliant.
